Overview

Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald was founded durring the early 14th century in fall of the year 1306, by Iestyn. The establishment of Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald is buildings are located arround a single crampt baked earthen mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the city a over all circular shape. The city has a fortified albit thin brick wall. The wall has most of the feeatures of a typical castle wall, just on a much smaller scale and and budget. Notably brick isn't a particuarly soild choice for resisting siege weapons. Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald's wall wouldn't hinder a proper army, but it is more than sufishent for bandits and other small marauding groups. The monster and outlaw focused fortifications has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald’s streets. A look around Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s everything together. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald long.

The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald lost 254 people, 229 livestock, and 67 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 142, when members of Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald's militia enacted an operation to locate a particular irregulars group. The operation was complicated by a significant percentage of the militia choose to go abandon the operation and return home. The conflict ended with an assault and siege on the depot, which ended in defeat for Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Slæ̈rn Väta-ftald's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
